Educators demonstrate a broad knowledge base and an understanding of areas they teach.

• I feel comfortable with my knowledge of english and social studies, but there are many areas where I feel I could expand my understanding. I am frequently studying current ideas and new research in my content area to update my understanding. 
• I am always open to new knowledge from my students. The majority of my teaching so far has been student-led and opens a great deal of avenues in our learning that I would not have thought of myself.
