Educators respect and value the history of First Nations, Inuit and Metis in Canada and the impact of the past on present and the future. Educators contribute towards truth, reconciliation and healing. Educators foster a deeper understanding of ways of knowing and being, histories, and cultures of First Nations, Inuit and Metis.

• I have always and always will include Indigenous community members in my planning process. I want to work towards having Indigenous, BIPOC, and community speakers work directly with my classes as a standard practice.
• My planning and assessment is based on the First Peoples Principles of Learning. I use group, self, and individual assessments on thorough rubrics to ensure that my students are just as clear as I am about assignments.
